Fluoridation
chemical manufacturers are required by OSHA law to provide accurate and truthful Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) with full disclosure of
any special precautions and health effects or be liable.
Here are some of the hidden dangers that make fluoridation chemicals unsafe: c.
MSDS says WARNING:
This product contains detectable amounts
of a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer/birth defects or other
reproductive harm.
Are Californians more vulnerable to a toxic chemical than Hawaii’s people?
I think not!
d.
MSDS says that fluoride chemicals are odorless and tasteless.
If there is too much in the water due to equipment failure or operator error, you will
not know about it.
This is not fail-safe like chlorine.
Several deaths and numerous accidents have occurred.
Is it 100% safe?
Obviously not! ("The following is my letter in response to the Advertiser's editorial in the March 16 issue supporting fluoridation. Since their position is already biased, I did not expect them to print my letter to the editor in rebuttal. I hope that you would help inform your friends via the internet on probably the most objective viewpoint on this issue. Who else would be more honest than the manufacturer's/suppliers of the fluoridation chemicals who stand to profit from the decision." Adrain Chang) In a recent response to your March 16
editorial on fluoridation, I was not surprised the Molokai experiment helped your decision since it focused on teeth.
However, it was not enough for me. What the fluoride manufacturers (MFGs) have to say in their product
safety sheets, who are required by law to
be accurate and truthful with full disclosure, helped to convince me. b. The MFGs say avoid any contact with strong acids; it creates hydrogen fluoride gas, which is highly corrosive (e.g. etches glass). Fluoride entering one's stomach contacts strong acid. The hydrogen fluoride created will cause damage to the stomach lining. The manufacturer states that chronic exposure could cause eating disorders such as anorexia. c. The MFGs say avoid any contact with aluminum. A simple experiment demonstrated that fluoride water, made slightly acidic to simulate cooking and boiled in an aluminum pan, released 200 to 600 parts per million aluminum. Without the fluoride, the aluminum released was less than 0.2 ppm. Alzheimer's, here we come? d. The MFGs say WARNING: This product contains detectable amounts of a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer/birth defects or other reproductive harm. Are Californians more vulnerable than Hawaiians to a toxic chemical? Advocates of fluoridation should invalidate the above before jumping to conclusions. Either that or just use old fashion common sense and focus on overall PERSONAL SAFETY and not only TEETH. Manufacturer's Product Data Sheets and Material Safety Data Sheets are available by calling CHEMTECH PRODUCTS at 314-965-7100. Ask for Product and Safety Data Sheets for Sodium Fluoride, Sodium Fluorosilicate, and Fluorosilicic Acid. Otherwise just send me a note at changjak@lava.net. all your friends and family. Adrian Chang (Background: B.S. Electrical Engineering and a retired Nuclear Engineer from Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard.) |
